Classic Mazda & SCCA Have Partnered Together

The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) foundation has been supporting grassroots racing for over 75 years, continually providing a safe, fun and exciting motorsports experience for auto enthusiasts. Every year countless volunteers lend their time to the SCCA, ensuring that every lap of your local race event runs smoothly and safely. One of the most critical types of volunteers in SCCA are the Corner Marshals. Positioned throughout the track, Corner Marshals are an essential component of a successful race, often referred to as "Flagging and Communication".

These marshals are an additional set of eyes for drivers and stewards, helping with accident response, and reporting what's happening on track by making radio calls. They act as the backbone of motorsports, providing critical insight around the track as the race is ongoing, but also keeping grassroots-level racing affordable for everyone participating. Oftentimes, these volunteers are retired racers, long-time race fans, and fellow auto enthusiasts donating their time to the craft of motorsports fueled by their passion for the sport. Although the Corner Marshals get the best trackside seats in the house, they also have to be out in the elements for extended periods of time and have to stay attentive at all times to ensure the safety of everyone.

We at Classic Mazda recognize that without keystone volunteers like Corner Marshals, there would be no racing. As a token of our appreciation, we have provided our local SCCA Central Florida Region with two brand new Mazdas specially outfitted to fully accommodate the track-side Corner Marshals. These vehicles will be responsible for picking up and dropping off the corner marshals from their designated locations, as well as providing them with food, water, and other trackside essentials.
